Cool Scarves For Soldiers
Ok - Now is our chance to use our collective power and influence to do something amazing
with very little effort!
Those soldiers were sent over to Iraq and Afghanistan not nearly well enough equipped.
Thats where Housewife Mafia steps in. We are not having it.
The mother of a deployed soldier put together her own non-profit to rectify some of these situations
and bring some aid, comfort and an extra measure of security to the troops over there.
Let's make it our goal to get 100,000 cool scarves donated by April 2006.
Together we can do this. For only $5 you can supply a soldier with one!
Cool scarves are one of the main things soldiers are asking for in order to get a little relief.
Temperatures over there can get up to 150 degrees. When it starts getting over 100 it becomes
difficult for them to think clearly and maintain the level of alertness that they really need to have in
order to stay safe.
The cost to purchase, package and ship one of these scarves is $5. Thats a pretty small amount
to give in order to provide an awful lot of relief. If you buy one, and get some of your friends to buy
one we will meet our goal in no time. Isn't it remarkable that we as individuals can make such
a difference with just 5 bucks?! It is also very humbling that such a small donation could save
somebody's life.
Together we can do a lot of good. We can't fix all the ills of the world, but we sure can make a dent.
